Automation Technical Engineer

A leading global engineering and consulting firm is seeking a Automation Technical Engineer to join its team, with opportunities of being able work remotely.

This organization is recognized as one of the largest system integrators worldwide, offering over 25 years of proven industry stability. The automation division delivers end-to-end engineering, consulting, procurement, and construction services. 

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and implementation of automation systems for greenfield and brownfield projects in the oil & gas industries.
• Participate in all stages of the project lifecycle, which includes front-end engineering, detailed design, configuration, implementation, startup, and commissioning.
• Collaborate directly with clients and support on-site project execution (travel 25-50%).

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in automation design and execution.
• Proficiency in the Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley PLC.
• Familiarity with SCADA and HMI platforms.
• Experience with Rockwell PlantPAx DCS.
• Previous work with control systems integration in sectors such as specialty chemicals, power, oil & gas, pulp & paper, or petrochemicals.
• Demonstrated experience with front-end engineering design, system development, implementation, testing, and commissioning.
• Solid understanding of system platforms, operating systems, system hardware, and architecture.
• Strong knowledge of P&IDs and instrumentation/control systems.
• Familiarity with relational databases, interface development, and HMI design/implementation.
