Job Title: Senior Field Engineer
Location: Remote with up to 70% Travel
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000

X4 Engineering are partnered with a leading Testing, Inspection and Certification Body in the US seeking an experienced Senior Field Engineer. 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct certification tests for equipment in accordance with applicable domestic or international regulatory standards and compliance regulations; provide guidance to customers on issues of non-compliance.
• Develop test strategies and plans to assess standards compliance, compatibility, functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Lead client projects by determining appropriate testing methods, selecting suitable testing equipment, and ensuring accurate interpretation and application of customer test criteria and relevant standards.
• Report and track defects identified during testing, record test data and technical details, and create or update test documents and reports, including SOPs, datasheets, and methods.

Qualifications:

• Experienced with standards such as NFPA 79, UL508A, IEC/EN/UL/CSA 61010-1, UL 2011, EN 60204-1, EN ISO 10218, ANSI/RIA R15.06, UL 1740, and SEMI S2 & S8. Preferred experience with functional safety standards like EN ISO 13849 and IEC 62061.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, enabling the clear and concise communication of complex industry, engineering, and technical information.
• Familiarity with NEC, CEC, provincial and local electrical codes, as well as UL, CSA, IEC, EN, and SEMI standards governing electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
