Electrical Design Engineer – Defence Projects | SC Clearance Required

We’re looking for a proactive engineer with a strong background in Power & Electrical Design who thrives on solving technical challenges and producing high-quality documentation that underpins project success. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Analysing and validating electrical design solutions against technical and legislative requirements.

• Producing detailed design documentation including calculations, test plans, material selection justifications, and compliance reports.

• Working hand-in-hand with mechanical design engineers to deliver fully integrated solutions.

• Ensuring technical compliance with safety and legislative standards at every stage of the design process.

• Contributing to design reviews and approvals to keep projects moving seamlessly.

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) with at least 3 years’ experience in Control Panel or Low Voltage Power Distribution.

• Strong Power & Electrical Design capability – from system design to component selection.

• Ideally experienced in Variable Speed Drives, Motor Starter Panels, Distribution Systems, and PLC Systems.

• Hands-on engineering skills with knowledge of Control & Instrumentation.

• Familiarity with E-Plan (SolidWorks Electrical or other CAD systems advantageous – training can be provided).

• Able to create and follow test plans with an understanding of automation and testing.

• A true team player who can also take initiative and drive tasks independently.

The Essentials:

• Must be eligible to gain SC Clearance (no dual nationals).

• Primarily onsite, 5 days per week, with occasional flexibility for remote working.
