Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota

A Minneapolis based Oil & Gas firm specializing within exploration and production is looking for a Reservoir Engineer to join their growing team. The company are looking for an experienced hire to become an integral part of the Reservoir team and act as a technical leading figure.

The right candidate is likely to have experience evaluating asset developments, exploitation opportunities, reserve profiles and profitability on existing properties. Experience in unconventional assets is highly desirable.

Reservoir Engineer – Key Responsibilities:

• Reservoir Evaluation & Optimization: Analyze and evaluate asset developments, reserve profiles, and exploitation opportunities, with a focus on maximizing recovery and profitability in oil and gas fields, particularly in unconventional reservoirs.
• Production Forecasting & Economic Analysis: Perform production forecasting, economic evaluations, and reserve estimations using tools like ARIES and Spotfire to assess field performance and future development opportunities.
• Data Integration & Analysis: Manage and interpret large datasets from field operations and geological studies, utilizing SQL, Spotfire, and other analytical tools to inform reservoir strategies and optimize decision-making.
• Field Development Planning: Contribute to the planning and design of field development strategies, collaborating with geologists, drilling, and production teams to optimize well placement and reservoir management in onshore basins such as the Permian and Williston.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical expertise and leadership within the reservoir team, guiding junior engineers and cross-functional teams in best practices for reservoir engineering and asset management.

Reservoir Engineer – Required skills and experience:

• Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering or similar.
• 5+ Years’ commercial experience in Reservoir Engineering roles.
• Experience in data management, science or analytics.
• Proficiency in ARIES, SQL, Spotfire etc.
• Experience in Permian Basin, Williston or other onshore basins.
