Lead Auditor- Aerospace

Salary: $120,000 – $130,000
Location: Field Based

The Aerospace Product Manager / Lead Auditor will oversee all aspects of the North American aerospace program for a globally recognized inspection, testing, and certification company. This role is essential for maintaining compliance with key aerospace standards, including AS9104 and ISO 17021, and contributing to the business development efforts of the aerospace division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership: Manage the North American Aerospace Program to meet accreditation and business requirements. Lead the auditing process, ensuring compliance with technical KPIs and accreditation standards.
  • Audit and Compliance: Perform AS9100 and AS9120 audits as a Lead Auditor, ensuring adherence to industry standards and timely turnaround of audit packages. Manage client Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and review submissions.
  • Client and Internal Support: Collaborate with business development teams to enhance customer services, resolve certification conflicts, and improve processes. Monitor auditor performance and ensure calibration with aerospace standards.
  • Industry Engagement: Support marketing and business development by staying updated on aerospace market trends, creating technical content, and representing the company at industry events and associations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Review and implement applicable industry resolutions, monitor auditor performance, and provide updates on program changes. Conduct internal audits and maintain technical qualifications for yourself and the team.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • Certified Aerospace Industry Experienced Lead Auditor for AS9100 and AS9120 standards.
  • Experience in engineering, design, manufacturing, quality, or process control within aerospace sectors, such as airframe manufacturers or military/space organizations.

  • Strong commercial awareness and client-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with a high degree of grammar and composition proficiency.
  • Proven project management and multitasking skills in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Commitment to company health and safety, integrity, and professional conduct standards.
