An Energy company focusing on Geothermal Energy are looking for a Drilling Engineer to join their growing team. The client are looking for an experience Engineer with experience in the geothermal drilling space to join the team. This role will need you to have drilling expertise, technical prowess within drilling engineering software’s as well as being able to collaborate across a variety of skillsets.

Drilling Engineer – Key Responsibilities:

• Well Planning & Design: Develop and optimize geothermal wellbore designs, ensuring they meet technical, environmental, and regulatory standards while maximizing the efficiency and safety of drilling operations.
• Drilling Operations Oversight: Lead and monitor the execution of geothermal drilling operations, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring adherence to best practices, timelines, and cost estimates.
• Software Utilization: Use specialized drilling engineering software (e.g., Landmark, WellPlan) to perform well trajectory planning, hydraulic analysis, and other key engineering tasks critical to the success of geothermal drilling projects.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with geologists, reservoir engineers, and field teams to integrate drilling plans with geothermal reservoir models, ensuring accurate well placement and optimal resource extraction.
• Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Ensure all drilling operations comply with local and international safety standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices, especially in geothermal drilling contexts.

Drilling Engineer – Required skillset and experience:

• Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical engineering or similar discipline.
• 5+ Years’ commercial experience in geothermal drilling/engineering.
• Impressive understanding of geothermal wellbore design, drilling.
• Experience with drilling software.
• Any experience across geothermal drilling practices, geothermal reservoir engineering and general drilling standards also highly desirable.
