Location: Positions open in Nevada, Kansas, Colorado, Idaho, Texas and New Mexico (Onsite with possibility of Hybrid work)

Our client is urgently looking for a Contract Commissioning Process Engineer to join their team for a long-term project starting in early January. The project is expected to last at least a year, with a contract duration ranging from 6 to 18 months. The ideal candidate will have 8-15 years of experience, a Chemical Engineering degree, and hands-on experience in commissioning processes, especially with nitrogen purging, line flushing, punch lists, line checks, and PFDs/P&IDs.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-site commissioning to ensure proper installation and functionality of lines, valves, and components.
  • Review P&ID’s and verify that all piping and instrumentation are installed according to design specifications.
  • Conduct nitrogen purging, line flushing, and other pre-commissioning activities to ensure system readiness.
  • Address and resolve items from the punch list and perform punch lining activities.
  • Cleaning and blasting of pipes and equipment to ensure system cleanliness.

 

Key Requirements:

  • 8-15 years of experience in commissioning process engineering.
  • Chemical Engineering degree (required).
  • Experience with nitrogen purging, biogas, line flushing, punch lists, line checks, PFDs, P&IDs, punch lining, and cleaning and blasting.
  • Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, including pre-commissioning and startup activities.
  • Ability to work independently on-site, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members.

 

 

This is a contract role with a minimum of 40 hours per week, requiring on-site work. The project is expected to last for a minimum of 6 to 18 months, and the client is open to competitive rates based on the candidate’s experience. They are flexible on the rate depending on how much commissioning experience the candidate brings to the role.
