Senior Test Engineer – Medical Devices

Location: Pleasanton, California 

Overview: 

X4 Engineering are working with one of the leading testing, inspection and certification service providers. They are currently seeking a Senior Test Engineer with a strong background in the Medical Device space to join an onsite team in the Bay Area. You will be responsible for completing all aspects of regulatory compliance testing and reporting of medical device products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform relevant tests, such as leakage current measurements and defibrillation-proof testing, in compliance with the national and international 60601 series standards, including associated collateral and particular standards, to ensure regulatory compliance of the product.
• Possess expertise in applying the requirements of the medical product safety standard 60601 (both national and international), with a strong understanding of associated collateral and particular standards
• Serve as the lead engineer on complex projects, contributing to the technical direction, scheduling, and coordination of detailed project phases. Additionally, provide training to other test engineers and test technicians.

Qualifications:

• Capable of working effectively in a team environment and following directions.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor, enabling the clear and concise communication of complex scientific and technical information, both verbally and in technical writing.
• In-depth engineering knowledge with a solid grasp of testing requirements, manufacturing processes, technical drawings, and relevant standards.
