Job Title: Senior GeoModeller

Salary: $210,000 – $230,000

Location: Houston, Texas

A Houston based Oil & Gas operator focusing on offshore assets is on the lookout for a Senior GeoModeller to join their growing Geoscience team. The right candidate is likely to have an impressive academic background as well as 10+ Years’ commercial experience within geostatistics, reservoir characterization and geomodelling in producing O&G fields.

Senior GeoModeller – Key Responsibilities:

• Reservoir Characterization & Modelling: Develop and update 3D static reservoir models, integrating seismic, well, and geological data to support field development, reservoir management, and production optimization.
• Geostatistical Analysis: Apply advanced geostatistical methods to analyze spatial variability, perform uncertainty quantification, and guide reservoir property distribution in geomodelling projects.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicists, and reservoir engineers to ensure that models reflect accurate subsurface conditions and are aligned with production goals.
• Data Integration & Interpretation: Interpret seismic, well log, and core data to refine geological models, ensuring consistency with observed reservoir behavior and field performance.
• Mentorship & Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior geoscientists, sharing best practices in geomodelling, reservoir characterization, and data management.

Senior GeoModeller – Required skillset and experience:

• Masters degree in Geology or Geoscience.
• 10+ years’ commercial experience in Geo focused positions within Oil & Gas.
• Strong understanding of geological concepts with effective simulation models.
• Strong knowledge of geophysical/seismic concepts and incorporation of them into geological models which support reservoir simulation.
• Expert level of geomodelling software (Petrel)
