Controls Engineer

We are seeking a talented Controls Engineer / PLC Programmer to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design field layouts, panel layouts, and electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent software.
- Program PLCs using ladder logic (Allen-Bradley, Schneider, SCADAPack, Siemens).
- Develop HMI interfaces and maintain coding standards.
- Create and maintain best practices for drive, controls, and SCADA systems.
- Troubleshoot field issues and provide technical support to installation and service teams.
- Perform I/O checkout, wiring modifications, and field startups at customer sites.
- Develop user manuals and conduct onsite training for customers.
- Collaborate on system design elements and participate in design reviews.
- Maintain program repositories, schematic drawings, and modifications.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 3+ years in controls or electrical engineering.
- Project Lead / Management experience, driving projects and overseeing a small team.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of PLCs programming (Allen-Bradley, Schneider, SCADAPack, Siemens).
- Experience with HMI software (FactoryTalk Studio, RSView 32, AVEVA Edge, Ignition).
- Proficiency in automation, drive, and control systems.
- Familiarity with SQL and AVEVA (Wonderware) Historian.
- Drive system experience with AB PowerFlex, ABB, or Bardac.
- Hands-on troubleshooting of equipment and processes.
- AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite.
