Automation Commissioning Engineer
Job Overview:
Join our team to commission, validate, and optimize Rockwell control systems at client sites. In this role, you’ll collaborate with multiple engineers internally and from client teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead/support automation commissioning and validation processes.
- Identify and resolve issues related to commissioning and validation, ensuring system integrity.
- Develop and implement Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) configurations.
- Focus on the modification and optimization of existing PLC control systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with legacy control systems, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Plan, design, and implement updates to existing control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standard and best practices.
- Conduct hands-on testing, commissioning, and qualification of control systems on-site.
- Develop and execute validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) for PLC-based control systems, ensuring systems meet operational and performance criteria.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering professional growth.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in automation or a related field.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to execute tasks independently.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage assignments, and meet deadlines.
- Hands-on experience with current PLC or DCS platforms.
- Familiarity with industry standards for qualification and validation (e.g., FDA, GMP, ISO 9001).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with electrical design principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and Rockwell Automation platforms.
- Knowledge of process control fundamentals and associated technologies.
- Understanding of process safety, validation, and best practices in documentation.
